KIT WILLIAMSON

ACTOR/WRITER/DIRECTOR

HEY, I'M KIT!

I'm an actor, filmmaker and internet person. I played Ed Gifford on the final two seasons of AMC's Mad Men and I wrote, directed and starred in the Emmy-nominated LGBT series EastSiders, which is now available on Netflix worldwide, translated into more than 30 languages.

My other acting credits include episodes of The Good Wife, Odd Mom Out, Public Morals, Numb3rs, Bosch, the Lifetime movie Anatomy of Deception, the NBC Universal movie Ana Maria in Novela Land and the independent features Retake (Frameline), Kiss Me, Kill Me (Reeling Chicago) and Best Friends Forever (Slamdance). I also starred in two seasons of the viral hit web series Hipsterhood. I've also written scripted pilots for CBS and Super Deluxe. And I'm fun at parties.

I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and left home at 16 to study acting and writing at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. I began my career on Broadway in the Tony-nominated revival of Talk Radio with Liev Schreiber while I was a Junior at Fordham University, and went on to receive my MFA in playwriting from UCLA.

I've received a number of awards for my work, including The Playwrights First Award, the Fred Forpes Fellowship at UCLA and a Daytime Emmy Nomination for my series EastSiders. My plays have been produced Off-broadway at Theatre Row, at the National MFA Playwriting Festival in Aspen, CO, and at UCLA, Fordham University and The University of Iowa.

I also run a boutique branded content production company with my husband that specializes in the LGBT market. You can read more about that below.
